You want to contact prospects, but you don’t have their email addresses… Therefore, you can’t contact them 😔.
📩 We’ve got the solution! You should choose an Email Finder tool, which consists of going and retrieving your contacts’ email addresses so you can contact them directly afterwards.
➡️ On the program, to help you choose the right tool:
- What is data enrichment?
- What is a Mail Finder, why use it and how does it work?
- Comparison of 4 Email Finder tools: Waalaxy, Snov.io, Lemlist and Dux-Soup.
By the end of this article, we’ll have tested them all. So you’ll know which Email Finder tool delivers the best results, and how to use it like a pro.
Let’s get started! 😎
What is data enrichment?
💎 Data enrichment is the enhancement of existing information by adding additional data from various sources (thanks to data scraping).
The aim is to make this data more complete, accurate and reliable in order to maximize its value for the company. 🎯 This process improves statistical analysis, refining marketing decisions and strategies based on reliable data.
In prospecting, database enrichment enables us to better target prospects and personalize future exchanges, by adding information such as telephone number, email address, location…
This process can be carried out manually or using automated tools (such as Email Finder), which exploit external databases, social networks and APIs. ⚙️
As you can see, we’re going to focus on email enrichment: explanations and comparisons of the best Email Finder tools on the market to follow. 🚨
What is an Email Finder and why use it?
An Email Finder is a tool (or a feature within a tool) that lets you quickly find e mail addresses, so you can contact one or more people directly afterwards. 📣 There are two methods of email enrichment:
- Via purchased databases (not to be used).
- Via semantics (method used by Mail Finder tools).
Semantic email enrichment is an algorithm that combines different possible email formats (based on a prospect’s first name, last name or company) and then tests whether these emails are valid. 🧪
For example, for Jean Martin who works for the SNCF, he’ll look for combinations like: jean.martin@sncf.com; j.martin@sncf.com; jeanm@sncf.com; jean@sncf.com, etc. until he finds a valid email address that matches. 😎
Here are the advantages of the ✅ method:
- RGPD compliance and no legal risk.
- Saves time compared with manual or contact searches.
- Reliable, up-to-date results, with systematic verification that the email exists (avoids invalid emails and high bounce rates).
- Use of different sources of information updated by users themselves (for example, LinkedIn, which remains the simplest solution for finding e-mail addresses).
- More efficient prospecting and automation of the contact collection process to quickly obtain contact details, improving the scope and effectiveness of sales initiatives.
👉🏼 In short, email enrichment has become a must-have feature for all prospecting and email automation solutions on the market.
Many of them now offer this Email Finder service and integrate it directly into their platform and campaigns. 📩
🛟 And, to help you choose the best tool for your strategy, we tested four and compared the rates of emails found.
1) Waalaxy Email Finder
What if I told you that Waalaxy let you do it in just 10min/day? 🤩
Not only is it possible, it’s super simple! And, that’s what we’re going to show you, you don’t need to be a growth hacker to use the Email Finder! 🔍

🤖 Our Mail Finder therefore recovers emails thanks to cascading enrichment: we query different providers (all RGPD-compliant) to provide you with your prospects’ email addresses.
This combination ensures that these are up-to-date, verified professional emails and prevents any nasty surprises. 🔒
In short, here’s how it looks fonctionne👇🏼:
- Automatic verification of the validity of email addresses to reduce risk, ensure that the message reaches its destination and improve email deliverability(mail tester).
- Automatic association of found emails with corresponding contacts in Waalaxy, making it easier to manage and track interactions.
- Easily track and export found e-mails from your prospect lists and campaigns.
Waalaxy offers other enrichment features such as:
👉🏼 The phone number finder to find your contacts’ phone numbers.
👉🏼 Broader data enrichment via LinkedIn: location, company, job title, etc.
Access to Email Finder
Via the Waalaxy extension 👽, the Email Finder can :
- Search for an e-mail address for a single contact.
- Launch a campaign where the only active functionality is the Mail Finder, to search for e-mail addresses on a list of contacts.
- Be included in Waalaxy multi-channel campaigns: LinkedIn & Mailing (always via a list of contacts).
🪙 Waalaxy’s Email Finder functionality works per credits and is accessible either:
- By all subscriptions (from 25 to 500 credits/month depending on the subscription),
- Freemium (25 credits offered free of charge). 🤑
- By purchasing additional credits according to your needs.

Finally, with our Email Finder, you can simplify your collection process as much as possible and start email campaigns with your eyes closed. 😎

The Email Finder tutorial
Creating an Email Finder campaign couldn’t be easier with Waalaxy!
🖱️ Just click on “Start a campaign” and select « Email Finder », to easily enrich your list of prospects.
You can also choose from over 80 other automated action sequences, which include this functionality. 🤩 For example: Profile visit + Email Finder + LinkedIn Invitation + Message.

After selecting your Waalaxy sequence, you’ll need to name your campaign so you don’t lose it and have access to the full performance results. 📊
Next, you’ll be able to choose from one of three ways to import your leads/contacts:

- 🥇 From LinkedIn.
- 🥈 From an auto-import.
- 🥉 From your lists, for this you must have already run a campaign or at the very least have created a list via a CSV import before launching the campaign.
The following shows the enrichment process from the moment your list has been imported into Waalaxy (whichever method you choose, the process is the same).
All you have to do is select the list in question, and let the tool guide you through to the launch of the campaign!

FYI:
👉🏼 At Waalaxy 1 search = 1 credit, and your credits will only be debited for emails that are actually found.
👉🏼 Thanks to the “ Teamanti-duplicates security “ and “Clean up my import” features” Waalaxy will only offer you prospects whose email has actually been found, so you don’t have to waste time sorting.
And, just a few minutes later, you’ll get the long-awaited email addresses and the results of your campaign. 🔥
Campaign results
🏆 As far as our campaign is concerned, it was a complete success, with 96 usable business emails found out of the 224 we searched for.

With an excellent found rate of 42.9%. That’s 20.4% more than our competitors (on average) 😈.

Email Finder tool comparison
To demonstrate the effectiveness and simplicity of the Waalaxy Email Finder, we decided to test this feature and launch campaigns at our main competitors 🚀 :
- Snov.io
- Lemlist.
- Duxsoup.
Worth knowing:
👉🏼 The tools included in this comparison work in the same way as Waalaxy’s (mentioned above): semantic search with algorithm and verification; which makes comparison possible.
👉🏼 The same contacts file(imported from LinkedIn in .csv) was used to obtain comparable performance results.
2) Snov.io Email Finder
Snov.io offers two emailfinder tools 🤔 :
- 1️⃣ Tool for online email address search (retrieval of professional email addresses linked to a domain name, which can also be found on LinkedIn and via Waalaxy).

- 2️⃣ Extension for email retrieval via LinkedIn, auto-import (to scrape LinkedIn profiles automatically) or CSV. This is the one we’re concerned with here.
Access to Email Finder

As with Waalaxy, Snov.io can launch “Email Finder” campaigns only, or be included in multi-channel campaigns.
🪙 Snov.io’s Email Finder functionality also works on a per-credit basis and can be accessed either :
- By subscription (from 50 to 5000 credits/month depending on the subscription),
- By free trial (50 credits offered free of charge).
❌ On the other hand, unlike Waalaxy, Snov.io doesn’t offer to buy additional credits as you need them.
So if you’re considering using it, be aware that you won’t be able to add email search credits to your free trial (to pay only for the credits, without the subscription), you’ll need to estimate your need to upgrade to a paid subscription…
⚠️ This isn’t the only thing the tool doesn’t offer and/or that complicates the process:
- Installation of another Chrome extension required for “non-email” enrichment (domains, websites and search results…) and very tedious.
- List import via .csv file is unavailable for freemium subscribers.
- You can’t choose the exact number of emails to scrape (only the number of pages on LinkedIn).
- You can’tuse filters to avoid duplicates or remove invalid e-mails, as they don’t exist, so you’ll have to sort your lists manually.
- No graphs are available for analyzing results and monitoring performance.
- Overall, the tool is far less design-led and intuitive, and very little support is offered for launching the first campaign.
Campaign results
Once you’ve launched and completed your campaign, you’ll find the search results color-coded (according to e-mail status) directly in the relevant list:
- 🌑 Grey: Not found.
- 🟢 Green: Valid.
- 🟡 Yellow: Possibly valid.
- 🔴 Red: Invalid.

Waalaxy only reasons in terms of valid e-mails.
So, to be able to compare, we’ve only taken into account the valid mails score for Snov.io.
As far as our campaign is concerned, the results are rather disappointing 😞 159 emails were found, i.e. only 53 usable and deliverable professional emails, out of the 224 emails searched for.
👉🏼 A very low success rate of 23.6% (less than a third of the desired emails).
Looking at these figures, it’s clear that not only is Waalaxy’s Email Finder easier to use, but it also offers significantly higher scores than Snov.io. 🦾
⏰ Now it’s time to compare it with a second tool: Lemlist.
3) The Email Finder on Lemlist
Like Snov.io, Lemlist offers two Mail Finder tools:
- 1️⃣ A free online tool that lets you search for a single profile.

- 2️⃣ Extension for email retrieval via LinkedIn, people search or CSV. Once again, this is the method we’re interested in.
Access to the Email Finder
🪙 Lemlist’s Email Finder also works on a per-credit basis and can be accessed either :
- By subscription (from 100 to 1000 credits/month depending on the subscription),
- By free trial (500 credits offered free of charge).
- By purchasing additional credits (up to 10,000).
Unlike Snov.io, we have to admit that Lemlist has put a lot of effort into the design of their app. 🎨
❌ But there are still things the tool doesn’t offer that can complicate the process and getting to grips with it:
- Results take a long time to arrive, compared to Waalaxy’s speed.
- The extension is very slow, making it difficult to navigate (but not really).
- The cost for 1 search = 5 credits is not cheap (on Waalaxy 1 search = 1 credit) and may explain the quantity of credits offered by subscription or purchase.
- No dashboard is available for analyzing results and steering performance.
- Support resources for the extension are only available in English.
- Problems with customer support have been reported by some users.
Campaign results
Once you’ve launched your campaign, you’ll be able to see the results arriving in real time in your contact list. 👀

As on Snov.io, search results oremail enrichment statistics will be sorted by color code (depending on the status of the emails), heading the Enrichment column, in the relevant list:
- 🌑 Gray: Not found or not verified.
- 🔴 Red: Inexploitable.
- 🟡 Yellow: Risky (chances of landing in the recipient’s mailbox spam).
- 🟢 Green: Deliverable.

Regarding our campaign, the results are as follows 😢: 77 emails were found, of which only 55 were professional deliverables, out of the 224 emails searched.
👉🏼 That’s a very small success rate of 24% (less than a third of the desired emails). In a nutshell:
- Compared to Waalaxy, it’s -19% of deliverable emails found.
- Lemlist does just better than Snov.io in terms of professional email deliverables found, but still falls short of the results brought by Waalaxy. 😈
Now it’s time to compare the Waalaxy Email Finder with one last tool: Dux-Soup. 👇🏼
4) Dux-soup Email Finder
Dux-Soup offers just one Mail Finder tool per Chrome extension, just like Waalaxy! And, believe me, that’s a plus over the two separate tools offered by Lemlist and Snov.io.

Access to the Email Finder
To launch the Dux-soup 🦢 Email Finder, you’ll need to :
- First create your campaign.
- Then import your prospects (from LinkedIn or .csv file).
🪙 Like the other tools presented, the functionality works by credits (in this case Dux-Soup point).
❌ However, unlike the others, the Email Finder is an option to be taken in addition to the subscription (from 100 to 2000 credits) and is therefore obviously not available as a free trial.
So you won’t be able to test it… 😱
⚠️ That’s not the only thing the extension doesn’t offer and/or complicates the data collection process:
- Not being able to test the Email Finder and having to directly take out a subscription and an option to access it can be a real hindrance.
- It’s hard to understand that you first have to create a campaign, then add a list and associate the campaign in question with it.
- The functionality is activated during lead import (checkbox), so if you don’t venture that far, it’s impossible to find.
- Incorrect operation of the extension, which sometimes on LinkedIn does not detect that another Dux-Soup window is open in the web browser and is indeed connected to the account.
Campaign results
⏳ Once you’ve launched your campaign, you’ll need to wait until it’s finished to see how your leads have been added and the results of your campaign.

There’s no color coding here: Dux-Soup thinks “like Waalaxy” in this respect, i.e. in terms of usable and deliverable e-mails. ✅
👉🏼 With regard to our campaign, here are the results: 49 emails found, out of the 224 emails searched for. That’s still a very low success rate of 21.8%.

It’s a downhill slide for Dux-Soup 🫣, with results and performance indicators well below those of other tools, in addition to complicated access to functionality.
That’s it, that’s the end of this comparison of Emails Finder tools. 🎉 Would you like a summary table of everything we’ve just said?

How to enrich Phone Finder with Waalaxy?
📞 To find phone numbers with the names of your contacts, you won’t have to go through the Email finder. And, you’ll only be able to do so if these two conditions are met:
1️⃣ Be connected with the person.
- On LinkedIn, you can send connection/invitation requests to people, who may or may not accept.
- By accepting, these people give you access to all the information on their LinkedIn profile, for example, their phone number.
