You’ve just arrived at Waalaxy, you’ve imported your first LinkedIn prospects, and now you want to launch your first Waalaxy campaign. You’re faced with your first dilemma: which Waalaxy sequence should I choose? Which one is best suited to my needs?
In this article, we’ll give you all the tips you need to find THE best sequence. Fasten your seatbelts, and let’s go! 🚀
What is a Waalaxy sequence?
A sequence, model or template is the architecture of actions and conditions in which prospects will move forward.
We’ll call the combination of leads and a sequence a campaign .
These actions are currently possible:
- Send an invitation on LinkedIn, with or without a note (depending on your LinkedIn subscription),
- Send a LinkedIn message,
- Follow a profile,
- Visit a profile,
- Find a professional email,
- Send an email.
You also have conditions in Waalaxy campaign, i.e. checks carried out in order to trigger the sending of an action by Waalaxy. Conditions include :
- Connection status: if your prospect is part of your LinkedIn network, he’s “Connected”, otherwise, he’s “Not connected”. If you have sent an invitation that has not yet been accepted, the status will be “Waiting”.
- Email: if your prospect has an email or a pro email. This condition is checked before sending emails.
- “Did not reply”: if you choose a sequence with several messages, Waalaxy will check if your prospect has not replied to the previous message. If so, he’ll receive the next one.
Delay steps allow you to space out the sending of actions. For example, wait 3 days between sending two messages.
Can I create or edit a Waalaxy sequence?
At present, it is not possible to create your own Waalaxy sequence, nor to edit existing steps. ❌
We noticed that almost all the sequences requested by our users actually already existed 😎. Many sequences are in fact available to make it easier for you to get to grips with them, and to be able to start prospecting more quickly 🚀.
What’s the best Waalaxy sequence?
It’s a question that comes up a lot. What’s the best Waalaxy sequence?
Do you really think we would have made 190 different models if there was one better than the others? 😜
Sequences adapt to different use cases. We strongly recommend using tabs to find your sequence :
If you want to search for sequences, you can also type the name in the search bar (1) if you know it, or use the action filters (2) :
Here’s a short video explaining how to use the sequence filters to find your ideal sequence .
Find the Waalaxy sequence that matches the specific actions you want
You can select sequences only « LinkedIn », or « LinkedIn + Email », or « Beginners »:
Find the Waalaxy sequence for your use case
We’ve built sequences specially dedicated to certain use cases: networking, job application, sales, recruitment, affiliation, promotion or other. These sequences are pre-filled, so all you have to do is add the prospects and fill in the fields:
How do I request a template?
You can submit suggestions for a new Waalaxy sequence by contacting the Support team directly.
Be as specific as possible in your request, by sending a diagram and/or explaining which template you’d like to draw inspiration from (and then remove or add steps).
⚠️ As we said in the introduction to this article, there are already over 190 sequences, which makes the search a little complicated, and an infinite number of sequences have yet to be created. We therefore choose the ones we create sparingly, checking that they are relevant and correspond to good prospecting practices.
So you can forget about the 7-message, 12-email sequence. 😜
My ideal model doesn’t exist. What can I do?
It’s possible that your ideal sequence doesn’t exist, and you need it immediately, or that it’s simply never added.
In this case, there are a few solutions to help you get what you want.
There’s a similar Waalaxy sequence, but with one too many LinkedIn messages
Let’s say you want an Invitation-Message-Message sequence, and it doesn’t exist (in this case, it does exist and is named after the actions that make it up), but there is the Invitation-Message-Message-Message sequence.
Chef’s tip: use the last message to make a « PS » or an Erratum on a spelling error then add a zero-day delay 💡.
Between zero minutes and a maximum of two hours after the message has been sent, by the time the algorithm detects that the first message has been sent, the second message will be queued and executed. In this way, you can avoid sending yet another reminder and potentially reinforce the « natural » aspect of your approach. 😉
There’s one « visit » more or less than my ideal sequence
Visiting a profile doesn’t increase the acceptance rate (very, very few people pay attention to who’s visiting their profile, and even if they do, it doesn’t change anything for the rest of the campaign).
It doesn’t make « » more natural with LinkedIn, because LinkedIn itself allows you to send invitations from a search page, without opening the profile.
In other words, if your ideal sequence exists without a visit, and you want one or the opposite, well, choose there, it doesn’t make much difference.
Combining two sequences on Waalaxy
There are many times when we’re asked for sequences that are the combination of two existing sequences . You can then add the prospects to the first sequence, and once they’ve completed it (use the filter Status: “Has responded” or Status: “Completed”, depending on the sequence), apply a tag to these prospects. You can then easily filter them in the lists to add them to the second campaign of your choice:
⚠️ A prospect cannot be in two campaigns at the same time, even if they are paused.
A few examples of use cases
Here are a few examples of use cases and the ideal Waalaxy sequence.
I want to send a message to people who comment on my post
There’s an ideal Waalaxy sequence for that: Elysium.
Combined with an auto-import on your post, this sequence will send your unconnected people an invitation and a message to people commenting who are already in your network.
💡The Elysium sequence comes in Elysium 2.0 and 3.0 depending on the number of messages you want to send to your prospects 😎.
I want to contact my contacts on LinkedIn only
It often happens that users want to recontact their base to promote an event, a webinar or simply pass on some info.
Although we don’t advise you to contact ALL your contacts in the same way, as this is very « spammy » behavior, this technique can be effective.
If you want to send a single message, the Waalaxy sequence « Message » is the right one for you:
If you want to send two messages, the Waalaxy sequence “Message – Message” is the right sequence for you:
I wouldn’t recommend a sequence with more than 2 messages, because I don’t recommend doing that, but they do exist. 😁
Get people’s emails on LinkedIn
Not everyone wants to run campaigns on LinkedIn (although it’s very effective). Nevertheless, LinkedIn is the best BtoB database in the world.
It would be a shame to deprive yourself of it.
With a sequence like Email Finder – CRM Sync, you can find your prospects’ emails, then automatically synchronize them with your CRM (or whatever).
I’m just starting out in LinkedIn prospecting and I want something simple and effective
Simple and effective. That’s our niche!
I recommend « Invitation + 2 Messages ».
An invitation with or without a note (I recommend without, but the possibility of this will depend on your LinkedIn subscription level) and two follow-ups afterward. Knowing that 90% of responses occur within the first two reminders, this is the best way to run a high-performance campaign without risking spamming.
I want to launch my first multichannel campaign
A very good choice. If you want to start multichannel prospecting, I recommend something simple.
«Saturn » will show you the power of multichannel, while keeping it simple. An invitation then a message if the prospect accepts, followed by an email if they don’t see the message and a message if they see the message on LinkedIn. 😄
If the prospect remains on hold after X days, search for email and send an email.
The capture is not very legible, but a simple search in the sequences will enlighten you.
Conclusion
So there you have it, you now have all the keys to finding the right Waalaxy sequence 👽. And of course, by “good”, we mean the one that best suits your needs.
