When to publish on LinkedIn?
This is a question that everyone that creates content on LinkedIn asks: when to publish on LinkedIn? What time will give me the best engagement rate? The best outreach?
If you know how the LinkedIn algorithm works, you know you have to get engagement early in the life of the post in order to get reach.
Alas, there is no perfect answer. If we take a little stroll on different sites that offer an answer to this question, we get some differences in response, but generally they’re al saying the same thing (or similar versions of the same). The issue is, most of them get their info from each other and nobody seems to have done any tests
According to Julien Bréal, you should publish:
7:30 am – 8:30 am / 12:00 / 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday and 10 am to 11 am on Tuesday.
We find similar data on web-marketing-conseil.fr
1ère.position.fr on the other hand tells us:
- Tuesday and Thursday
- Between 7 am and 8 am
- Between 10 am and 11 am
- Between 5 pm and 6 pm
Which isn’t too far off what the other two were saying.
And finally there’s agence90.fr which also essentially reiterates the other data:
- Most clicks and shares: Tuesday from 11 am to midnight.
- The worst time to post on LinkedIn: sleeping hours (10 pm to 6 am) just before Monday and after Friday evening.
- The best hours to post: between 7 am and 8 am and between 5 pm and 6 pm
- Peak usage period during an average day: 12 pm (noon) and between 5 pm and 6 pm
Everyone obviously points out that it depends on your targeted audience, as different audiences might require different practices.
So, what’s the truth?
Up until the launch of Podawaa, there was very little data on the subject. Just other people’s personal experiences, intuition, and data on hours of connection.
But the arrival of Podawaa means we can finally change that! Thanks to statistical data on our users posts, we will be able to give you precise information on the best publication times on LinkedIn. What are you waiting for?
