Well, after trying out a number of techniques that are sometimes a bit wonky, I thought I’d put together a little guide to 10 methods that can unearth a person’s email address, quickly and simply. 🤩

Enough blabla, let’s get down to business! 💪🏼

1) Check your LinkedIn connections

One of the most effective ways without paying a cent is to check your connections on LinkedIn ! 💡

If you didn’t know, LinkedIn is THE professional social network in the world, where users often share their contact information in their profile. 👀

Okay, but how do I do it? 🤔

Use the search bar to find the person whose e-mail address you’re looking for. Once on their profile, check if the e-mail address is in the “Contact details” section, which is usually under the profile photo or next to the summary.

If the information is not publicly visible, you can connect with the person.

If, however, you’re already connected with this person, but their e-mail address isn’t visible, there’s always the good old-fashioned method of sending a message directly.

Be brave 👋🏽 and explain why you’d like to have their e-mail address.

2) Mail search tool: Waalaxy

Did you know that there are tools that let you do Email Finder? 🤔

This is a feature that allows you to retrieve an e-mail address from public databases, social networks or even websites. 🛜

Today, we’re going to explain how to do it with Waalaxy, a prospecting and automation tool for LinkedIn and Mail in the form of a Chrome extension. 👽

Directly on the home page, click on the “Start a campaign” button, then select “Email Finder”.

You then have 3 choices for importing your leads:

• From a pre-defined list.
• From an auto-import.
• From LinkedIn.

For this example, we’ve chosen “From LinkedIn”.
Then we put the 🐾 filters to work. We want to retrieve the email addresses of people working at Ubisoft in Montpellier.

Once the people have been filtered and selected, we create a prospect list called “Ubisoft” via the Waalaxy pop-up and import it into the tool! 🚀

Your campaign can now be launched.

A few seconds later, you can already go to your campaign to see what’s going on. 🔍

Just wait a few minutes, then select the “Step” filter and check the “Success” box.

Waalaxy now shows you all prospects who have an e-mail address, and when you click on a profile, its e-mail address magically appears! 🪄

3) Use social networks

Often underestimated in the professional world, the use of social networks such as Instagram, Twitter or Facebook may surprise you! 😇

Some professional profiles include their e-mail address in their bio. To start finding an email address via Instagram, first start by following the person’s profile. ⏭️

Then check their bio to try and find contact details or a link to a website. 🖥️

Sometimes users share a contact pro email in their stories or ephemeral posts. 👀

Note that this method is very effective for content creators, influencers and companies who want to facilitate communication with their audience or potential customers. 😇

Using Twitter

Twitter users often tend to add their contact details directly in their description to facilitate professional contacts.

No need to draw you a diagram, just visit the profile of the person concerned and examine 🔎 the biographical section where the professional email to be clearly displayed, as here. 👇🏼

But that’s if you’re lucky. 😅

Alternatively, you can use Google search operators. Don’t panic, it’s super-easy to use! Just use the following commands: ⬇️

If that still doesn’t work, you need to invoke the magic formula, provided you know where he works. In that case, you can try: 👇🏼

Use Google Advanced Search

Go to Google settings and select “Advanced search”.

Here you can add different criteria, such as specific keywords, exact phrases and even exclude certain words.

By targeting 🎯 forums or specialized sites, you’ll increase your chances of finding relevant email addresses. 📈

5) Search via “About us” and” Contact”

These pages are designed to end up with contact information, including email addresses, which facilitates exchanges between customer and customer service. 🪽

All you need to do is go to the “About us” page. This page often contains detailed profiles of team members, including their direct e-mail addresses. 📧

8) Making deductions

This time, we’re putting our logic to work to make a little game of riddle and insight. 🧠

If you already have some basic information, such as a person’s name or place of work, searches will be much simpler.

Business email addresses often follow similar, predictable patterns, such as :

• “initialduprenom.nom@entreprise.com”.
• “nom.prenom@entreprise.fr”.
