What is email enrichment?
Email enrichment consists of finding an address from information such as a prospectâs first name, last name and company. The aim is to be able to contact this person directly afterward. đ
There are two main types of email enrichment
- Those that work with databases,
- Those based on semantics.
Email enrichment via databases
How it works is very simple. For years, tools have been scouring the web for emails, cross-referencing various databases with the aim of retaining prospect information in order to then resell this contact data. â
This technique poses 3 major problems:
- Databases are not always up to date,
- Data quality is often questionable,
- Data collection rarely complies with the General Data Protection Regulation.
Semantic email enrichment
The second method, on which Dropcontact operates, is based on semantics. In other words, an algorithm will combine the various possible email formats based on the companyâs first name, last name and website, and then test whether these emails are valid.
So, for John Smith who works at Apple, it will look for combinations like: john.smith@apple.com ; j.smith@apple.com ; johns@apple.com ; john@apple.com, etc. until it finds a valid email that matches your prospect. đ
This method has several advantages:
- It respects the GDPR,
- It is based on up-to-date data, as it systematically checks that the e-mail exists and is based on the LinkedIn data we supply to the tool, which are updated by the users themselves.

How does Dropcontact email enrichment work with Waalaxy?
Waalaxy integrates the possibility, in a large part of the available sequences, to go through an enrichment step that directly calls the Dropcontact API based on LinkedIn information.
Operation is fairly straightforward and requires no action on your part:
- When the prospect arrives at the enrichment stage, called Email Finder in Waalaxy, we send his first name, last name and company website to Dropcontact , which searches and returns an email if itâs found.
- If the email is found, it goes into the âHas emailâ part of the sequence, and if not found, into the âDoes not have emailâ part.

No. For your convenience, we offer the possibility of enriching emails without a Dropcontact subscription. Everything is automatically managed and integrated into your Waalaxy subscription.
On which Waalaxy subscription plan is enrichment included?
All Waalaxy subscriptions give you access to the Email Finder feature. However, for Advanced and Freemium subscriptions, you only get 25 Email Finder credits to test the feature. Business subscriptions include 500. However, you can add credits to any subscription.
How many emails can I enrich with Waalaxy?
The Business Plan allows you to get up to 500 emails per month on Waalaxy.
The Advanced plan allows you to get up to 25 emails per month on Waalaxy.
Unused credits are not accumulated the following month, but reset to zero each month.

Are my credits debited when the email is not found?

Are the emails found professional emails?
Yes, they are. All the email addresses found with Dropcontact are business addresses, whereas the email addresses retrieved from your LinkedIn contacts are mostly personal emails. â
What is the rate of emails found by Dropcontact?
Dropcontact reports 60-70% of emails found.
In our sample and at this time, we are seeing a rate of around 50%.
